Zegna take over Harrods with astronomical window display

Ermenegildo Zegna Couture has taken over all the front windows of Harrods with a display that derives influence from astrophysics and the metaphysical.
So serious are Zegna about the brand’s reputation as one that embraces pioneering, technological values, they have cultivated a window display at Harrods that analogises the Milanese fashion house with space, time and the majesty of the Universe. An astronomical film created in collaboration with Stefano Pilati, Zegna’s head of design, formed the backdrop of the Autumn/Winter 2014 show and this forms the basis of the Harrods window campaign.
It’s the first time that a menswear brand has completely taken over all the front windows of the luxury department store – no doubt indicative of the increasingly important role of men’s fashion. The window display is illuminated by angled mirrors, that create a sphere effect and chart a conceptual scientific pathway between the primordial Universe and contemporary Milan.
Running concurrently with the window project, Ermenegildo Zegna Couture have introduced a new accessories collection, exclusive to Harrods. It features Pilati’s first bag for Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, a soft and very practical everyday borsa that comes in a choice of macrograin, calf or alligator leather.
Aside from Pilati’s Couture Bag, Zegna have also released a new enriched brogue; the Couture Double Monk. Made using Goodyear craft techniques, the sole is embossed with a chevron pattern, ensuring good grip for those icy mornings. Both the bag and the brogues are hand stitched with the trademark XXX; the Couture trademark.
