If you want to define ‘streamline’, take a look at the 150ft Vantage. Sitting so flush with the water, it is a perfect ambassador for what exquisite yacht design can look like. And you’re going to have to be pretty flush to enjoy it: it’s currently on the market at £24,000,000. It’s a member of a rather distinguished family, after all – the Palmer Johnson 150s.

Its twin MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines will keep you cruising at 24 knots, with a maximum speed of 28 knots. With stabilization at rest and underway, seaborne comfort is assured.

Design

Venetian design maestros Nuvolari & Lenard are behind the Vantage’s design. Founded by a stylist and a naval engineer, their studio has worked closely with Palmer Johnson for many years, and they’re reaching the apex of their talent with the Vantage.

Let’s take a look around.

The hull is cream-coloured, with an anthracite trim. The theme continues inside, with an interior design palette of cream and brown, set off with deep navy accents. The wooden interiors are bleached teak – beautifully polished – and contrasted with carefully selected fabrics from Aura, Nicotrend and Rubelli. Wenge tiles inlaid on the doors add a unique design touch; the attention to aesthetic detail on this boat is quite remarkable.

At 150ft, with two complete decks, you’ve got ample room for entertaining. You can split your guests between the main deck and sun deck, the latter housing a Jacuzzi, barbecue and bar.

The Vantage has a master-suite, with a study and his-and-hers bathrooms. Four further cabins house the guests in comfort; two are double cabins and two with twin beds and a Pullman. A crew of 8 is berthed in separate quarters, for maximum privacy. Needless to say, there is a centralised entertainment system throughout the boat. The Vantage misses nothing.

A collaboration between Palmer Johnson and Nuvolari & Lenard, two players at the top of their industry, promised exceptional quality – and they have delivered. We’d be delighted to come onboard!
