Their first single malts in the brand’s almost-200 year history, Glentauchers, Glenburgie and Miltonduff are named for the distilleries from which Ballantine’s sources their base malts. From the warmth, power and cinnamon spice of the Miltonduff to the concentrated fruitiness and honeyed sweetness of the Glenburgie, there’s something here for every whisky lover – and a trio of bottles to go down in the brand’s history.
With the launch of its Onestep 2, Polaroid hopes to revive the nostalgic feeling of instant cameras. Inspired by the 1977 original, this model is designed to replicate its predecessor, but with contemporary updates. New features include USB charging instead of AA batteries, self-timer (perfect for selfies) and a high-quality lens. And while the i-type film may seem retro, it uses the most advanced chemistry to provide richer colours, contrasts and tones than ever before. Happy snapping.
As part of its ever-widening television and film strategy, Apple has enhanced its self-titled TV in an attempt to gain ground on Amazon and Netflix. Although the latest device is still housed in a chunky black unit with an accompanying Siri remote, it’s what’s inside that really impresses as new internal upgrades allow you to project both 4K and HDR content onto your screen (including the iTunes films you’ve already bought), while the A10X chip gives the box as much power as an iPad Pro. Priced at £179 for the 32GB model and £199 for 64GB version, the Apple 4K TV is available to order now.
Described as the “ultimate all-terrain Discovery” and built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team (the unit responsible for some of the most durable JLR motors ever), the new Discovery SVX is perhaps the company’s most extreme four-wheeler to date. To ensure stability while driving in harsh conditions, a hydraulic Active Roll Control – which improves body control and “extreme” off-road traction – has been introduced.
It also features a gargantuan 525hp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol powertrain, and comes with a number of enhancements over the standard Discovery, including increased ground clearance, body and suspension lifts and huge 815mm all-terrain tyres. The SVX will enter production next year, with a price to be determined at a later date.
Inspired by the Group B era – the period during the 80s in which some of the most advanced and powerful rally cars in history were made – this Autodromo watch is built like so many of the light, fibreglass racers from which it draws inspiration. Included is a skinny titanium case composed of two parts which are girded by a single-piece chassis with integrated lugs. Moreover, thanks to the use of titanium (and minimal amount of steel), the Group B weighs in at 52 grams, making it one of the lightest models on the market. In keeping with the automobile theme, the high contrast dial is also inspired by the tachometer of the Lancia 037 Rally car.
The Hello is Nest’s first video doorbell. Aimed at monitoring your front door, it comes complete with HD live streaming, a motion detector and a 160-degree field of view so that you can receive an alert and snapshot of whoever arrives at your abode. Additionally, due to the integrated Nest Cam IQ smart tech, the device will determine whether the guest is a stranger or someone familiar, meaning you’ll be notified accordingly. A list of pre-recorded responses also allow you to effortlessly answer visitors – including the postman – with one tap from the app.

Spruce up your morning workout style with these tapered sweats from Swedish super brand H&M. In stark contrast to many sports labels who opt for bright colours and big logos in their collections, H&M’s line is, in typically Scandi style, incredibly minimalistic. Better still, thanks to a fast-drying fabric, they’re perfect to don during those cold, wet winter runs.
