The weather’s getting cooler, so it’s time to pack the Pimm’s away for another year and hunt down a more autumnal refreshment. This week we’re whetting our whistles with the heavenly Balblair 1983, and you should be too.
WHY THE BALBLAIR 1983?
Balblair is unique in the Scotch Whisky category as it’s the only single malt brand exclusively released in Vintages. A nice touch, and one that ensures that the whisky is only ever released when it has reached perfection. The 1983 is Balblair’s pièce de résistance, a pleasure to drink and one that deserves a space in every discerning spirit drinker’s cabinet.
TASTING NOTES
The 1983 is saturated in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, creating a taste that’s both sweet and spicy, with fresh fruits and honey that combine to create a long, warming and full bodied finish.
