What’s On – Chestertons Polo in the Park
Taking place for the sixth year in a row, Chestertons Polo in the Park returns to Fulham once again for what promises to be a truly unmissable summertime event. Throughout the 6th, 7th and 8th of June, Hurlingham Park will be transformed into a mecca of polo, as world-class international players from the likes of China, Argentina and Australia will all be displaying their skills under the summer sun. It won’t be a laughing matter though, as these highly trained professionals will be battling for the Chestertons Polo in the Park Trophy, so you can expect plenty of competitive action.
A quintessentially British affair, Chestertons Polo in the Park is just as well known for its entertainment as it is for its polo. Fans of the sport will undoubtedly be trying to get as close to the action as possible, but for those who want to relax in style, you can sit back and enjoy the action from afar with a glass of Champagne or two. Plenty of off-field activities will be taking place too and with multi-floored hospitality areas and numerous opportunities to get food and drink, Chestertons Polo in the Park really is a must-see summer event.
As far as food goes, there is the Gourmet Street Food Market, which offers a wide range of delectable lunches. Those looking for a tipple are spoilt for choice, as they can head to The Pommery Champagne Garden for some fizz, the Crown & Corgi Pub for a beer or The Pimm’s Bus for a No 1 Cup.
An award-winning affair, Chestertons Polo in the Park was launched in 2009 and, having grown year on year, you can expect the 2014 event to be the biggest and best yet. It takes place from 12 midday – 9pm on Friday 6th June, 12 midday – 8pm on Saturday 7th June and 12 midday – 7pm on Sunday 8th June.
