Nowadays there is a large range of premium-blasting earphones normally sponsored by the latest major hip-hop icons, e.g. beats by Dre. While the sound quality has improved somewhat, it’s the image of a gentleman mixed with a rappers hip-hop headphones that just doesn’t quite fit. For a while apple has tried to keep up with the trend by releasing their ubiquitous earbuds, however as good as they might look, the sound quality doesn’t cut the grade.
The latest entrant into the premium headphone game looks good and sounds better. The British-based Brand, Atomic Floyd has just released their SuperDart Earphones. Expensive they may be, the build quality is no match for anything else on the market.
The earphones are crafted out of solid stainless steel, the plugs are gold-plated, and the cable is coated in Kevlar. They aren’t billet-proof, but the Kevlar does mean they are virtually impossible to tie in a knot.
In terms of specs, Atomic Floyd says you’ll get sensitivity of 100dB, a frequency range of 5-25,000Hz and impedance of 16ohms. It also comes with their trademarked ‘SuperCharged’ sound and speaker drivers. In English this means they’re pretty much the best you can get.
