Setting a precedent for all other luxury watch manufactures, Montblanc has introduced an industry first. Combining the finest horological traditions with state of the art technology, the German Maison has ventured into wearable technology, unveiling the TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap.
The Urban Speed e-Strap features an integrated technology device that connects to smartphones via Bluetooth. Through an LED display you’ll be able to access smart notifications, remote controls and Find-Me functions. Tech-savvy collectors may not have been keen going all out with a smart watch, but now they can get the best of both worlds with this truly innovative device.
Of course, Montblanc’s TimeWalker family of watches is inherently sporty, so the addition of a durable smart strap seems like a great fit. Constructed from the brand’s unique Extreme leather, which is crafted in the hills of Florence, the e-Strap doesn’t skimp on quality. The opposite is in fact true, as is visible in the elegant stitching and striking carbon-like weave of the leather.
Functionality is at the core of what the e-Strap does though. After easily linking to your Android or iOS phone, vibrations alert you, allowing you to preview text messages, emails, phone calls and more. It also acts as an activity tracker, informing you of how many steps you’ve taken on any given day, including distance travelled and calories burned.
