Breitling have been on a role lately, with the release of the stunning Transocean 38 and now this, the Transocean Chronograph Edition. Harking back to their roots with a vintage-inspired dial and sporty feel, this is a watch that will be right at home on the wrist of someone after a classic chronograph.
The two-tone dial immediately stands out and, with its vintage-inspired sub-dials, pencil hands, classic date font and tachymeter, the watch exudes a heritage appeal. Indeed, it has been inspired by a star model from 1956, during the time when air travel was becoming readily available to a wider, international audience.

During the ‘50s, Breitling’s Transocean watches, similar to this, would have been used by airline pilots, which will no doubt give present-day owners a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. Coming in a 43mm steel case, this particular watch is somewhat larger than its vintage cousins, and it’s available on a range of straps, including this rather attractive steel mesh.
