Horology master, Watches of Switzerland, has recently teamed up with luxury watchmaker Zenith to create a limited edition timepiece. The result? The Watches of Switzerland Zenith Cronometro TIPO CP-2. Here’s everything you need to know about this spring’s must-have accessory…

The details…

Similar to the standard model from the Zenith range, the latest Cronometro Tipo CP-2 replaces the previous black chronograph with all-new silver sub dials and red chrono hands. Moreover, the Arabic watch-markers still remain and the running seconds hand (positioned at nine o’clock) are coated in black – all of which are enclosed in a 43mm stainless steel case. When it comes to the subtle details, each model also has a special engraved caseback that displays a limited edition number and the strap is crafted from black nubuck leather with a red trim; this fuss-free colourway is perfect to wear with either a casual harrington jacket or a more formal two-piece.

Facts to drop into conversation…

“Oh, this thing? It’s nothing special. Besides the fact that there are only 25 pieces available.”

“Don’t worry about the whiskey spillage down my arm – this watch is water-resistant to 100m.”

“The strap doesn’t suit the case? Luckily each timepiece comes with two strap options.”

Best paired with…

Stripped-back basics. You want your wristwear to do the talking, after all.
