WATCH: The Chopard Gentleman with Charlie Bowmont
Introducing ex-serviceman and founder of Capstar Chauffeurs, Charlie Bowmont
Words: Gentleman's Journal
To celebrate 20 years of Chopard Manufacture, the iconic watch marque’s full-fledged manufacture in Fleurier, Switzerland, Gentleman’s Journal has profiled five young, stylish and successful entrepreneurs who, like the craftsmen at Chopard, have turned their passions – from the worlds of art, food, clothing and music – into their careers. For the next in the series, we bring you Charlie Bowmont, founder of Capstar Chauffeurs.
Charlie Bowmont served six years in the household cavalry and was stationed in the Middle East. After leaving the military in 2008, he decided to give something back – founding Capstar, a chauffeur company that actively recruits and trains veterans who have been wounded or disabled in combat. His drivers in New York and London drive long wheelbase Jaguar XJs and wear bespoke Roderick Charles suits as uniforms. Capstar is already one of the most popular and attractive chauffeur companies either side of the Atlantic but, not content on being king of the road, it will soon be taking to the skies as it prepares to launch a new helicopter service.
Charlie wears The LUC Regulator, £23,370. Visit Chopard here.
