Turnbull & Asser open Davies Street store

Turnbull & Asser open Davies Street store

Prestigious British institution Turnbull & Asser, who make shirts for the Prince of Wales no less, have opened up shop on Mayfair’s Davies Street. The new location will offer a concoction of bespoke and ready-to-wear clothing, slotting perfectly between the brand’s Bury Street bespoke store and Jermyn Street ready-to-wear store.

Turnbull & Asser are a heritage label first and foremost, having produced shirts for the likes of Sean Connery, Humphrey Bogart and Sir Winston Churchill, and this year they’re celebrating their mammoth 130th anniversary. The new Davies Street shop looks to channel this impressive history, yet it’s infused with modern touches befitting of the interior architects Shed, who designed it.

The store, located precisely at 4 Davies Street, boasts a space measuring 1000 sq ft, meaning clients have generous room to peruse the sartorial wares on offer. The company’s expansion doesn’t end at Mayfair though. On the other side of the Atlantic, T&A will be opening a second store in New York City’s World Trade Centre, and back on our shores their Gloucester work rooms will be getting a healthy makeover to accommodate for their burgeoning demand.

Nigel Blow, Managing Director says, “2015 is a landmark year for Turnbull & Asser as we celebrate the brand’s 130th anniversary. Our expansion is being driven by the demand for our product and to meet this we are pleased to be expanding our work rooms in Gloucester and opening new stores in London and New York.”
