Opened in November 2012, the guest house was not only lovingly designed by mother and daughter duo Frith and Jessica Latimer, but is now being run by Jessica, an interior designer and stylist who has honed her craft refurnishing many small properties in Chelsea, London. The impressive property comprises five luxury deluxe and junior suites, one two bedroom and one three bedroom suite all with with 180 degree panoramic sea views. If you choose to dine inside, there is a spacious dining area with an honesty bar but the real draw is the beautiful outside deck, the perfect space for entertaining, which stretches the entire width of the building and houses a 15-square metre swimming pool and several luxurious sun loungers. When it comes to the interior design, this property is luxurious, chic and modern with enough quirky Durban inspired pieces (influenced by the family’s colonial heritage) to make it interesting, relaxed and homely. By combining a collection of neutral colours, the decor is unassuming, allowing the stunning visage outside to speak for itself.
Each spacious suite includes a large bedroom and lounge area, a deluxe bathroom and a balcony with views of the awe-inspiring Atlantic, the Twelve Apostles, Clifton and Camps Bay.
