Not everyone is a football fan, but there is something incredibly patriotic brewing inside you every time your national team manages to score, or even better, wins a match. The 2016 UEFA European Championship, or just Euro 2016, will take place in France and the qualifying process is nearing its second half. We have selected three teams doing extremely well, so far, in comparison to their previous appearances in this enchanting tournament.
POLAND

Ten points ahead of the 2014 World Cup champions, Germany, Poland top Group D. After beating the country of beer for the first time in October last year they are hoping to satisfy their fans. Poland has managed to qualify twice before, including in 2012, when they co-hosted the event with Ukraine. Both times they failed to get past the group stage.
ISREAL

Similarly to Poland, Israel top Group B, winning all three games against Cyprus, Andorra and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is an impressive accomplishment, even though they were lucky to end up in a less competitive group, since they have never managed to qualify. If Israel manages to keep up the good work, they will be able to add a significant achievement to their football history.
ICELAND

This Nordic football team has also never qualified and after winning three out of four matches there is chance of achieving something that seemed unreachable for them. In their attempt to qualify for Euro 2016, Iceland has defeated Netherlands for the first time in the football history. They are hoping to compete in the major tournament next year after almost going to the World Cup in 2014.
