Words: Jonathan Wells
Superyachts are synonymous with luxury. But there’s luxury and then there’s luxury. This flotilla of palatial, lush vessels takes things to another level, and they’re all available for charter through bespoke brokerage firm Yacht Masters.
Here’s our pick of the top ten, and how to charter them…
Vertige
The interior of luxury yacht Vertige offers an air of classic refinement. Teak furnishings and cream and beige colours harmoniously combine to create an at-home feel.
A favourite spot for guests is the sundeck, which offers a Jacuzzi, wet bar with seating, sun loungers and alfresco dining table. It’s the perfect summer cruiser.
Ouranos
With an audacious statement in luxury and style, this is one of the funnest yachts on the water. She makes a splash with its elegantly plush interiors, floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views as you cruise, a plunge pool complete with Jacuzzi-style jets, and an incredible array of the most contemporary water toys.
We’re serious. The yacht has her very own inflatable Water Slide, Blob Water Launch Pad, Seabobs, Jet-surfs and Flyboard Hoverboards.
Liquid Sky
It might be an odd name, but Liquid Sky is one of the finest, most luxurious yachts on the water. With capacity for 12 friends, you can take extended family or a group of friends — and raid the well-stocked store of tenders and toys.
With a stash to rival the best on the waves, expect paddle boards, kayaks, a donut, a banana, a couple of jet skis and camera integrated seabobs. You’ll spend more time in the water than on the yacht…
Scorpion
Scorpion truly does have a sting in its tail. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, she may not be the fastest on the water, but she is reliable, beautiful and has capacity for 12 guests.
What’s more, the gym is unparalleled in luxury. With a treadmill, dumbells, yoga equipment, exercise bike and more kit from TRX and Technogym, this is the ultimate floating work-out area.
‘H
Stripped back in name; luxurious in nature. ‘H is cool and contemporary, her interior is beautifully laid out with grey sycamore walls and pale wenge flooring. Soft, warm leather contrasts with cool glass and marble to create guest areas that are both comfortable to live in and impressive for entertaining.
‘H also boasts fantastic deck spaces, including al fresco dining for 12 guests on the main deck aft and a large circular dining table on the bridge deck aft, with glass panels providing protection from the elements.
Ruya
With her head-turning exterior, coupled with a thoroughly original and truly inspired interior, Ruya won two awards at the 2016 ShowBoat Design Awards. Built for al fresco living, she boasts a huge sun deck complete with bar, barbecue, 10-man jacuzzi and gym equipment.
Inside, her Australian outback-inspired interior makes use of indigenous material like bamboo and Australian silky oak to create an opulent yet extremely liveable environment.
Skyler
A masterpiece of contemporary sublime vision of luxury, Skyler boasts rich textures, including deep pile silk woven carpets, dark blue leather piping wall detail, Tanganyika frise, glossy ebony, and Thai woodwork; all of which offset the pale furniture and nickel detailing.
This spectacular superyacht also offers accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins. The full beam master suite located on the main deck features unique terraces on both port and starboard side that slide out at the touch of a button.
Solleone
This luxurious vessel features a sleek and modern exterior, and is finished in classic white and blue with its plumb bow and wide stern. Inside, she features traditional teak interior hand built, with light oil wax satin finishes and modern details throughout and a large seating area amidships with a separate dining area.
She accommodates guests over four cozy staterooms, including a spacious owner’s cabin aft complete with a generous seating area and a his and hers en suite bathroom. A perfect superyacht.
Narvalo
Combining long range capability with uncompromised onboard living, Narvalo balances volume and stability with elegance and refined Italian design.
Interior and exterior spaces designed for comfort during long-range cruising include a large skylounge, huge amounts of exterior deck space and a specially-designed custom tender.
Kohuba
Kohuba’s sophisticated and unique navy blue hull will turn everyone’s head around the Amalfi Coast and Corsica Ports this season. She has a class-leading interior volume and a Scandinavian like design.
Kohuba’s interior and exterior features make her the ultimate luxury yacht charter experience. Cockpit and interior areas are exceptionally appointed for formal or social occasions. From the saloon, at the touch of a button, a balcony unfolds over the sea, providing the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset.
