The world’s fastest car – now that’s the kind of headline we like to see, here at The Gentleman’s Journal. The car, which is being described as the ‘world’s first megacar’, clocks a pretty heart-racing 274mph with a 5 litre V8 engine and a staggering 1,322 horse power.
The Swedish manufacturer have created the most powerful production car ever, but of course status like this comes at a price, in this case, it’s a £1.67 million price tag. Koenigsegg gave the One:1 its global debut at this week’s Geneva Motor Show and it certainly caused a stir.
This is one of the most exclusive production car programs ever envisaged; the hp to kg curb weight ratio is an astonishing 1:1 (hence the name). This is apparently the “dream” equation previously thought impossible. On top of this the One:1 is the first homologated production car in the world with one Megawatt of power, thereby making it the world´s first series produced Megacar.
