The gym is very often the last place any of us want to spend 3 evenings a week; dragging yourself to workout after a long day in the office isn’t the most appetising of prospects after all. Every minute of the journey from the office to the weights section is plagued by an overwhelming desire to turn around and down a few at the pub, or just skip right home and eat your weight in steak. The gym, gentlemen, isn’t a prerequisite for getting in shape though – it’s perfectly possible to get rid of the gut and pack on the muscle without lifting a single dumbbell.
The gurus at Matt Roberts Personal Training have instead devised a home workout fit for champions that will have you cancelling that costly monthly gym membership. Done in one minute circuits – that is, each exercise for one minute at a time, running through the entire regimen without a break – it’s ideal for doing morning or evening to start getting in shape and building strength:
As the workout gets easier in time, increase the difficulty by upping the time spent on each exercise, adding in new exercises or working on more difficult variants.
