Meet this all new American monster. 450bhp and 450 torques from its all-new 6.2-litre V8 means in 4 measly seconds the machine is at 60mph. This is all just part of the standard model as well. It even has an automatic fuel save element, as at calmer speeds the engine runs at V4 power, all due to the direct injection which improves power and efficiency. The whole weight of the car is down by 62kg as well, with the use of carbon fibre on the under body panels and hood, not to mention the new aluminium frame. Now on with the tech, the driver can select an incredible total of 12 different powertrain, chassis, steering and cockpit systems. There’s a new ‘gesture-recognition’ hi-res electronic instrument display that reconfigures itself according to the drive mode and there’s a little climate-control screen on the passenger side. All this means that the Stingray doubles as not only a mean sports-car but also an everyday GT. If the look of the car in itself doesn’t impress you enough then fear not, the roof panel is removable, making it one scaring looking convertible.
Expect this beast to be tamed by late 2013.
