The most stylish F1 pit stop ever
Words: Charlie Thomas
Esteemed British heritage brand Hackett may well have turned Williams Martini Racing into the best-dressed Formula One team of all. They have just signed a multi-year contract which makes them the official clothing supplier for the team and their personnel and, to celebrate this, Hackett and Williams have released a video of what is without a doubt the most stylish F1 pit stop ever.
Filmed at the Circtuito de Jerez, Spain, the Williams pit crew have been suited and booted in navy Hackett two-pieces, complete with deep blue ties and dapper pocket squares.
The collaboration is a big catch for both companies; Hackett’s logo is now featured on the nose of the car, and Williams are now outfitted by one of the most respective British clothing brands around. Indeed, Williams Team Boss Claire Williams recognised that “Hackett has grown to become one of the world’s leading menswear brands, and like Williams has a reputation for being quintessentially British, but with an international presence.
“We are delighted to be partnering with a brand of their stature. The race team work in challenging conditions and put their clothing and luggage through a lot of stress as they travel around the globe each season. We always seek a supplier that has an excellent reputation for quality and style and Hackett certainly meets this criteria.”

Speaking about the partnership, Jeremy Hackett said: “Motorsport has been a part of the Hackett DNA for many years now and the prospect of working with one of the giants of F1 sends shivers up and down my spine. The Martini racing stripe has always been heralded as a marque of prestige and luxury and it seemed only natural for Hackett to style the team for the new season. I also noticed that Hackett was founded the same time Williams won its first World Championship… an omen, if ever there was one!”
