Located an olive stone’s throw from Oxford Street and Selfridges, the arrival of Harry’s Bar in the West End has been a much anticipated event. This week, VIPs flocked to the event to celebrate its launch, and for a preview of the menu, wine list, and of course an iconic Harry’s Bar Bellini or two.
The spin-off, reported to be the first of a series of new venues from the team behind the iconic Mayfair private members’ club, can seat up to 150 guests between the terrace and restaurant. The aim: to serve up a slice of La Dolce Vita in London’s busiest shopping district, that and an impressive menu from Diego Cardoso, who previously worked at Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred Italian Murano.
VIP attendees were able to enjoy the Cicchetti menu – small plates traditionally served in Venetian Bacari bars – hob-nobbing between the crisp autumn air on the outdoor terrace or the luxurious dinning room inside.
