The Gentleman’s Journal & Purdey

The Gentleman’s Journal & Purdey

Last night, as part of Purdey’s ongoing bicentenary celebrations, Purdey and The Gentleman’s Journal magazine hosted a drinks party at the iconic South Audley Street store. The Gentleman’s Journal was also launching their annual shooting issue; a who’s who of the top shooting estates in the country.

It was a truly British affair with Aston Martin parking two of their latest models outside and Chase Vodka providing some delicious rhubarb vodka cocktails, needless to say guests guzzled these down whilst munching on mini roast beef Yorkshire puddings and other delectable canapés. Guests included various personalities from the shooting world such as Charles Hambro, Lord Westmorland, James Horne (the new Purdey Chairman) and James Campbell-Gray, who has been voted as the most entertaining shooting guest by not one, but two separate publications, someone who is sure to receive a lot of future invites this season!

After a laughter filled evening, and the chance of observing the iconic Long Room and all the treasures it has to reveal, guests reluctantly spilled out onto the street, with Charbonnel et Walker and Floris filled gift bags clutched tightly to their sides.
