It was designed by husband and wife team Ray and Charles Eames who had a philosophy of taking traditional materials and using them in industrial processes.
This chair is supremely comfortable with its luxuriously cushioned leather seat pads. It has a cherry wood veneered plywood shell which rests on aluminum supports with a cast aluminum base.
