Last night, The Prince’s Trust hosted a cocktail reception at Mayfair’s leading contemporary art gallery, Unit London, to raise awareness of the charity’s RISE campaign. As the Gentleman’s Journal charity partner, RISE — a network of 21- to 40-year-old entrepreneurs, change-makers and philanthropic pioneers — shares many values with our magazine, and we were happy to welcome many friends of the brand to the event.
Guests including Mathias le Fèvre, Daisy Fane and Harrison Osterfield joined us for the fundraiser, which helped move RISE even closer to a target of raising £1.5 million over five years — money that will be used to further social mobility and help young people build a better future. Also present were classical pianist Cyrill Ibrahim, Sam Harwood, entrepreneur Caspar Lee and ballet dancer Eric Underwood.
Unit London, on Hanover Square, was the perfect venue for such an event — encapsulating as it does the spirit of inclusion, accessibility and enterprise. Founders Joe Kennedy and Jonny Burt value conversation and connection with every one of their visitors, and strive to build real communities around both their artists and brand supporters.
We must also thank our drinks partners for the cocktail reception, with stunning cocktails served up thanks to London’s own No.3 Gin, and glasses of floral Whispering Angel rosé ushering in the spring party season. Together, this group of entrepreneurs, artists and tastemakers furthered the fundraising — and you too can help the cause by becoming a ‘RISER’ with a donation of just £20 per month.
