The best shirts under £100 to wear with your suit
Words: India Gladstone
More often than not, a gentleman spends so much money, time and effort buying the perfect suit, shoes and accessories to wear to work that the shirt often gets forgotten. There’s no excuse for this, gentlemen. If you’re wearing a plain dark suit, the likelihood is that your shirt – particularly if it’s a lighter colour than the rest of your outfit – is the first thing that someone is going to notice about you. Sadly for some, a cheap, badly made shirt really does show; the fabric will be static, shiny and will make you sweat like you’re sitting in 30 degree heat all day.
The shirt is a basic staple, and a piece that every gentleman needs to have at least a few of in his wardrobe. One thing we’ve noticed is that a lot of men bulk buy cheap (ugly) shirts to wear for work because they don’t see the point in making an effort in the office. But that attitude won’t get you anywhere, gentlemen. You have to wear the same thing day in, day out, 5 days a week – so surely it pays to make a little bit of effort?
