The Oscars: the most glamorous, anticipated event in Hollywood’s calendar and the defining moment of the year for many of the world’s best actors. But who wins what only covers half of it – the red carpet is a massive part of the whole event and the outfits are spoken about for months and months afterwards. It can be argued that black tie is black tie, and a lot of gentlemen find it hard to tell apart two dinner jackets, but I’m here to tell you that this isn’t strictly true. Remember that these are some of the most famous faces on the planet, and that designers will be queuing up 6 months before the ceremony, fighting to dress said actors in the hope that he makes it onto the best-dressed list.
