Tech – the iBean and the iTagua
Words: Violet

Bean there, done that…. You certainly haven’t with this latest innovation. Introducing the world’s first Amazonian bean and nut digital audio music plays. Sorry, what? Rewind and repeat…
Yes, you heard us right. Launching on Kickstarter, the funding platform for creative projects, this month you’ll spot possibly one of its most creative products yet – the iBean and the iTagua. These two precision–manufactured digital marvels have been made in South America to provide a new income stream to Columbia’s indigenous population and raise funds for the Natura Foundation.
Still need some explaining? We thought you might. The iBean and iTagua will be the globe’s first digital audio music players to be designed using sustainably gathered, whole natural botanical casings from the Amazon Rainforest. Each 2GB or 4GB music player is a meticulously crafted and engineered digital audio device that delivers ‘lossless’, CD quality music at a much higher bit-rate than conventional music players, all housed in a naturally beautiful and truly original form. Each product is made from beans and nuts that are sustainably harvested from the forest floor without any harm to the tree or vine from where it came.
Jim Campbell, Managing Director of Cybotanics Ltd – the brain behind these innovative products – will help us elaborate, “No two products are alike, each and every iBean and iTagua digital music player is a natural botanical wonder, skillfully fused with a cutting edge digital audio heart. Every single product is an individual work of art sculpted by nature.”
Here starteth the sustainable rebellion against mass produced consumer electric products, and we welcome it with open arms and bundles of curiosity.
The iBean and the iTagua cost from £40. For more information, or to order, visit kickstarter.com
