Autumn is here. It’s time to bring out the big guns.
Suiting up for the summer is OK for a while. All that linen and lightweight cotton allows for plenty of exciting, tonal outfits. But autumn and winter is when the fun really begins, though.
As always, there is a move towards heavier fabric; think wool, tweed and corduroy, although the really weighty stuff should be reserved for November and beyond. The colours are of course muted too, but don’t be afraid of pattern, as many of this season’s suits feature subtle plaid, which is more wearable than you might think.
