The most stylish young actors today
Words: Charlie Thomas
It’s no secret that those in the limelight have a lot of influence when it comes to style. Given that their lives are documented on a daily basis, what they wear can, in some cases, dictate and steer trends or styles in certain directions. It’s not just the long established stars such as Ryan Gosling and George Clooney who have all the fun though. There are plenty of upstarts who are paving their way in the style stakes, and they’re worth a look at too. Here are the most stylish young actors today.
DOUGLAS BOOTH
Mr Douglas Booth is making quite a name for himself on the big screen, most recently starring in the upcoming Jupiter Ascending, but he’s attracting plenty of attention for what he wears, too. Now a regular at London Collections: Men, he scrubs up well in his red carpet-worthy suiting, yet his casual game is also on point, which is something all gentlemen should aspire too.
MAX IRONS
Dressing well should ideally be effortless, as this will result in your overall demeanour being relaxed rather than uptight like you tried to hard. Max Irons has appeared to have mastered the art of dressing with ease, and as you can see, the results speak for themselves. If the going gets tough, don’t be afraid to undo your top shirt button and loosen your tie – it may not be boardroom appropriate but you’ll look suitably rugged as a result.
SAM CAFLIN
As he shows here, Sam Caflin manages to nail the fit of his tailoring on a regular basis. This grey flannel get-up is typically at home in the office, but here he’s cleverly used a tie/pocket square combination that injects a much needed character into the ensemble.
DAVE FRANCO
Dave Franco boasts an uncanny resemblance to his brother James, yet when it comes to style he wins hands down. This textured light grey number shows the importance of having a seasonal suit in the wardrobe, but it also signifies that simplicity is key – you can’t go too far wrong with a navy tie and white shirt.
MICHAEL PITT
Although he’s now 33 (practically ancient, we know), Michael Pitt more than keeps up with his younger comrades with his unwavering cool and nonchalance. Here he demonstrates that it is possible to wear an all-black suit and still look good, which is quite an achievement in our books.
