Style Trend – Smart Trainers
Words: Violet
This Spring there is one style trend that is getting serious traction, ‘smart trainers’. No longer will the average pair of Nike, Adidas or Pumas do, now, and perhaps due to the continuous growth in menswear, some of the world’s most renowned fashion houses are turning there designs skills to creating trainers, which may as well be described in the same light as a pair of women’s Jimmy Choos or Christian Louboutins.
The brand which arguably started the movement was Lanvin and, whilst and again arguably they may be leading the pack with their patent leather and coloured suedes, brand such as Jimmy Choo, Givenchy, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen are all getting in on the action. It has in a way created a new segment in men’s fashion entirely.
Below we have picked a few of this season most stand out designs, but the key here as we say with all things is the more understated the better. These brands have created shapes that are instantly recognisable, so like all good gentlemen there is no need to shout about them.
