STYLE ICON – Why You Will Never Be As Cool As Johnny Depp
Words: Violet
He’s infinitely cool, effortlessly stylish and will always be the kind of man that other men want to be like. unfortunately, whilst you can buy his clothes, start wearing eye make-up and trashing hotels, you will never be as cool as Jonny Depp. Sorry gents, but the truth hurts. These are a few of the things that make Jonny Depp as cool as he is….
He’s gone out with some of the most beautiful women in the world, Including Winona Ryder, Kate Moss, Vanessa Paradis and most recently Amber Heard.
He’s pretty funny , Some of his favourite pseudonyms include “Mr. Drip Noodle,” “Mr. Stench,” and “Mr. Oddpong.”
He owns his own island, Depp fell in love with the Bahamas while making Pirates of the Caribbean and bought Little Hall’s Pond Cay, a 45-acre, one mile long island that’s part of the Exuma archipelago
Even his lies are cool, After the infamous hotel wrecking in the 90’s post an argument with Ms Moss, Depp told the police that an armadillo had jumped out the closet and done the whole thing. Yup that’s right – he blamed it on an armadillo.
He looks after animals, When Depp took on the role of Ichabod Crane in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, he rode a horse who played the character “Gunpowder”. After production, the one-eyed horse was to be destroyed, until Depp, upon hearing this news, adopted the horse, named Goldeneye, thereby saving him from the glue factory.
He can wear a hat and 90’s style blue tinted glasses and still look cool,
He pulls off eye-make up like no other straight man can and got to play a pirate, which is kind of every mans dream – child or not, He makes the whole teenage gap year style beads and undone shirts thing look 100 x cooler than any half decent teenager ever could, even though he’s 50 – go figure.
He hangs out with Keith Richards, , After filming together the pair struck a friendship and also weirdly enough could be father and son separated at birth.
He’s kind of a rock-star too, Aside from playing in the band P, Depp has played with Oasis, Alice Cooper, the Pogues’ Shane MacGowan, and recorded acoustic guitar tracks for his films Chocolat and Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
