Sainsbury’s Christmas advert 2014

It’s 100 years since the start of the First World War and as we have recently honoured those who lost their lives during war time, it’s fitting to remember that not everything about WWI was terrible. The heartwarming Christmas truce of 1914 resulted in football matches – played between the British and the Germans – and presents being exchanged. Sainsbury’s advert wonderfully renders a scene from the truce.
