The Subaru WRX has always been the desired model of choice for true need-for-speed petrol heads and has consistently offered the consumer thrills which are more common in a higher-end super car. So when we heard that there was a new WRX concept out our intrigue hit the roof as we anticipated the new design. The concept’s styling is aggressive yet sleek, with a bold grill and sharper styled lights at the front. The bonnet bulges out, perhaps to make room for the powerful, turbo-charged engine that has made the WRX so renowned. The roof is carbon fiber and the body is lower and wider, which will no doubt result in better handling.
It is at the rear where you will find the most dramatic styling changes with a newly modeled curved trunk lid that doubles up as a spoiler, blacked out lights and a large black diffuser adds further to the aggressive styling. That’s all before you lay eyes on the superior BBS “RI-D” One Piece Forged Duralumin wheels which finish off what we can only label a beautiful and sleek design.
