Power – Jaguar XKR-S GT

Jaguar have well and truly put their troubled past behind them and they continue to deliver models that stand out from the crowd and the XKR-S GT is no different.

Unveiled at the New York Motor Show, it was enough to get car journlists around the world buzzing with excitement. Jaguar have described it as the ultimate road going version of the XK Coupe, which incidentally we already love. Although the XKR-S 542bhp 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine remains unchanged, Jaguar has added a pretty serious bodykit and incorporated carbon fiber wherever they can, resulting in improved aerodynamics, speed and handeling. The top speed has been limited to 186 mph with a 0-60 of just 3.9 seconds. If all of this appeals to you then the price tag is a respectable £130K, though your chances of getting one are pretty slim as Jaguar are only releasing 30 cars in North America and Canada, however Jaguar have hinted that a UK model could be on the cards should the demand be strong enough. jaguar.com
