Church’s, who has been making some of finest shoes in England since 1873, remain a mainstay not only on Northampton’s illustrious shoemaking scene, but in the wardrobe of many a considered dresser. It might be best known for their formal, polished offerings, but nevertheless produce more casual styles of the same superlative quality. The Orby, a sandy suede brogue, is one such shoe. With a contrasting red sole that brings with it a seasonal injection of colour, it is perfectly suited to weekend wear. Make no mistake, however – these are the same goodyear welted soles found on Church’s more formal varieties, and as such will provide years of service. Pair with a neutral blazer and olive green chinos for a refined warm weather look.
