Approaching their 20th anniversary, Swiss brand Parmigiani Fleurier are relative newcomers to the watch game, but their prominence within the industry is one that cannot be ignored. Their current line-up of timepieces exudes elegance and sophistication and their formula of combining famed Swiss engineering with opulent design is clearly a winning one. A new collection has just been announced though and as it’s arguably their most diverse yet, we thought we’d take a closer look. The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Metrographe watch is an effortlessly stylish piece and marrying the very finest materials available with a contemporary design, it is bound to stand the test of time. It is available in a tan or black leather strap or a steel bracelet, and with a number of different coloured faces and accents available, there will be a combination for all tastes. A highlight of the watch is its asymmetrical design; the left-hand side is classic and features a lengthened teardrop silhouette that tilts its hat to iconic Parmigiani cases of the past. The right hand side mirrors the left in that it too features the smooth, elongated lugs, but the chronograph buttons give it an imbalance that infuses the watch with a character that would otherwise be absent. Whilst every colour combination of the Tonda Metrographe is as luxurious as it is timeless, our favourite would have to be the black on black design. A dress watch like no other, the Hermes calfskin strap is perfectly elegant and the black face is contrasted by the outer whites of the chronograph dials, making for a truly stunning timepiece.
