On Trend – Bright Trousers
Words: Gentleman's Journal
When you think of bright trousers, you will most probably think of preppy American style that has become synonymous with brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. Although you would be partly right in thinking this, it was actually the English who first thought of ridiculously bright trousers. Brands such as New & Lingwood, who are renowned for dressing Etonians for over 147 years, can be credited for being one of the first to produce the bright red chino trouser, and still do to this day from their Jermyn Street based store. This SS13, bright trousers are back, and are no longer reserved for the uber Sloane. They will add some serious colour to any gentleman’s wardrobe and help brighten up the English summer also.
