Raise a glass to the BAFTA nominees and winners with this elegant concoction from Don Julio and The Savoy
How better to get in the spirit of awards season than with a tipple or two? With the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2025 taking place this coming Sunday, Don Julio Tequila – official spirit partner to BAFTA – has joined forces with The Savoy Hotel in London to create a special celebratory cocktail. Introducing La Musa Dorada, which rather aptly translates to ‘the golden muse’.
Served in an elegant coupette, La Musa Dorada combines the smooth taste of Don Julio 1942 tequila with rose water and sherry, and is garnished with a light bergamot and mandarin perfume.
The cocktail will be served to nominees, winners and celebrity attendees at the official after party on BAFTAs night. There will also be a Winners’ Bar area at the party where – for the very first time – winners will get the chance to have their masks personalised and will each receive a personalised, engraved bottle of Don Julio 1942.

‘La Musa Dorada’ cocktail recipe
Ingredients:
20ml Don Julio 1942
30ml Almontiliado Sherry Gonzales
10ml Muyu Vetivier
10ml Briotte Tonka
2.5ml 2:1 Sugar syrup
5ml Verjus
2 dashes of rose water
Garnish:
Bergamot and mandarin perfume
100ml Italicus
1 drop of mandarin oil
Glassware:
