New York’s incredibly cool new hotel Park Hyatt New York

Located in the heart of midtown at 153 West 57th street between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue, New York’s newest hotel is sandwiched between Carnegie Hall and Central Park. Inside there are 210 generously sized guest rooms including 92 suites and state-of-the-art guest rooms which are among the largest in the city (no small feat) starting from 475 square feet or 44 square meters.

But the real story is the 90-story mixed-use tower in which the hotel is housed, One57. It stands at 1,005 feet making it the tallest residential building in the city and was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning French architect Christian de Portzamparc. The use of dark and light glass on the building’s exterior creates vertical stripes, and gives residents and guests panoramic views of Central Park and the New York skyline.
