There’s something innately romantic about sailing the sea. It could be the sheer adventure of it all, weighing anchor and coasting off into the sunset. It could be the solitude, the isolation and independence of floating far away from coast or country. Or it could be the boats themselves; vintage-style vessels — all billowing sails and burnished wood.
Prana by Atzaro, launched earlier this year, is nothing if not striking. Combining luxury cruising with traditional boatbuilding methods, she is a seamless blend of heritage styling and eastern influences. And that’s fitting, given her patch will be the islands of Indonesia’s archipelago — from the Komodo National Park to Raja Ampat.
Eighteen guests can sleep on board Prana by Atzaro, sleeping across four decadent decks and nine sumptuous cabins. The master suite, especially, is a treat — boasting a private deck, 180 degree views and an upper deck location.
And Prana by Atzaro isn’t the only vintage-styled vessel on the water. It’s a trend we’ve seen making waves across the industry.
This particular vessel, however, was commissioned by Ibiza-based luxury hotel Atzaro and features the establishment’s signature tropical-chic styling, rainfall showers, and a sufficiently relaxing ‘yoga deck’ — which doubles as an outdoor cinema.
Other hallmarks are the sweeping hull lines, her sleek flybridge and distinctive superstructure. But it’s less how she looks and more what she offers that’s exciting us.
With a spa on board, and a water sports deck where guests can check out toys including kayaks, paddle boards, kite boards, inflatables and more, there are fathoms of adventure to be had — not least with the onboard diving instructor amongst Indonesia’s vibrant coral reefs…
