Winter is here, and with it comes a few things. Christmas songs in every shop you enter and more festive plans than you can shake your diary at, among them. The big chill, too, is a pre-requisite of winter, and by now you've probably (definitely) traded in your summer garb and are layering up. You've also probably started doing your Christmas shopping.

These are the essentials that will keep anyone warm, looking sharp, and mentally sound, as they traverse the cooler months, through Christmas, and out the other side. From a pair of sunglasses via LA-based brand Jacques Marie Mage (the brand that Harry Styles gets his frames from) to a cold spell knit from MR PORTER's Mr P. line, these are the garments and accessories that'll give you the upper hand this winter.

It was knitted in Italy from 12-gauge merino wool (the very best!) and designed in a slim fit that's ideal for layering, year in year out.
As mentioned, Harry Styles gets his sunglasses from the LA-based brand, and so you know you're onto a good thing here. Jacques Marie Mage's 'Alfred' sunglasses are limited to just 400 pairs and each comes with a certificate featuring a unique serial number and the individual craftsman's signature. They're as unique as sunglasses come, without making them yourselves.
Peak winter gear arrives in the form of a beanie. But this isn't just any beanie. This is an Elder statesman beanie, made from 100 per cent cashmere (dry clean only!) to keep your head as warm as possible, and to go easy on your hair. The pop of colour will be a welcome sight on any dreary street this winter.
Built to last is inbuilt to the Tom Ford ethos. This belt has been crafted in Italy from croc-effect patent-leather, with a design that will stand the test of time and trends, as well as actually just withstand wear and tear. It comes with a subtle TF stamp and mark of luxury on the buckle.
Every guy needs a pair of white trainers. But not every guy knows about Berluti's white trainers, which are some of the best out there. Handstitched in Italy from two-tone Venezia leather, they're detailed with suede toe caps and the label's signature 'Scritto' motif, they have a flat sole and are the sort of trainers anyone would want to keep box fresh.
No brand gets timeless luxury like Loro Piana. The Italian label's 'Bale' tote bag is ideal for every day, thanks to its simple design, and will last a lifetime thanks to the way its crafted from super sturdy leather. Definitely an investment for whoever you wish to buy for (or yourself).
This sweater is cable-knitted from pure cotton, so it's breathable and long-lasting, and was made at Cucinelli's own Solomeo factory. It's festive in spirit, but not necessarily in design, so will be useful all year round.
Lighting up one's home is easy with a candle like this. Scented with woody accords to recreate the aroma of a crackling fire, it's the ultimate home enhancer and a very good gift to give.
