Morgan Plus 8

This month sees the release of the Morgan Plus 8, and the lightest V8 passenger car in the world also. Morgan have used technology from the aircraft industry to achieve a weight of just 1100kgs. It’s a true drivers car with very responsive handling, due to the stiff chassis. The sound is what you would expect from a Morgan with a nice crisp throttle response.

Morgan claim this is the most comfortable classic Morgan they have ever built, with air con and a luxurious leather lined cockpit as standard. Under the hood lies a 4.8 litre engine capable of 367 bhp and can do 0-62 in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 155mph.

At £85,200, it is not cheap, however it’s worth remembering they are lovingly hand built and that there is not a more economical car that offers these sort of thrills. morgan-motor.co.uk
