Montblanc Releases the Pen of All Pens

A tribute to Henry E. Steinway, a grand master of piano manufacturing, this beautiful Montblanc Patron of Art Limited Edition fountain pen is steeped in history and executed to the upmost quality.
A key player in the development of modern music, Steinaway pioneered the modern piano and his legacy is still felt in piano manufacturing today. The glorious writing instrument itself, which is available in two editions the 4810 and 888, celebrates the vision and creativity of Steinway, the barrel adorned in black lacquer and the fittings plated in gold to mirror the stunning colour combination of a classic Steinway piano. The fountain pen’s cap is decorated with the heart of the iconic music instrument – the harp, or overstrung piano. The essence of Montblanc is stylistically present throughout with the iconic emblem crowns the fountain pen.
Montblanc has a rich and interesting history in writing instruments, their first fountain pen being introduced back in 1909. Since then Montblanc pens have had a massive presence in the history books, even being nicknamed on Wall Street as the ‘power pen’ because of all the deals it has been used to sign with. These landmarks in history include Churchill signing documents of War, US President John F Kennedy’s Meisterstück 149 was used to sign Cologne’s Golden Book, Anne Frank wrote in her diary with a Montblanc, Prince Charles and Lady Diana used one to sign their wedding certificate and The Queen, Pope John Paul II and Nelson Mandela have all been seen clasping a Montblanc pen. If that wasn’t enough, the Montblanc also has roots in British popular culture with appearance in James Bond’s Octopussy and Never Say Never Again.
