Words: Gentleman's Journal
The Gentleman’s Journal and Montblanc co-hosted a dinner at Somerset House last week to mark the London edition of the Hamburg-based company’s Black and White Weeks, and the launch of Montblanc’s 110th anniversary collection.
VIP guests were invited to tour Montblanc’s latest creations, including the company’s latest hand-crafted writing instruments and leather accessories, and highlights from the watch collection introduced at SIHH in Geneva earlier this year.
Champagne and canapés were followed by a three-course dinner in the famous London landmark’s Portico Rooms, during which special guest Gaëlle Perret from Montblanc’s La Chaux-de-Fonds Swiss watch manufacture introduced the company’s travel-inspired new 4810 collection, and Robin Swithinbank, editor of The Gentleman’s Journal, shared his thoughts on the 1858, a series of vintage-inspired watches.
Montblanc’s Black & White Weeks take place around the world and have become an annual tradition and a vehicle for the iconic marque to showcase its latest creations. One of the highlights was the anniversary Rouge et Noir collection of writing instruments (see below), made in tribute to a collection first introduced in 1906.
