The lines between smart, casual and smart/casual have been blurring for a while. Do we even know what they mean anymore? Does it matter that there are no exact constructs and are somewhat free to interpret as you wish? Whatever the case may be, there is a new British brand on our radar that is bridging the gap between these states of dress, rather working to the aesthetic of stylish and elegant must-haves.
Fairfax & Favor was launched with the aim of creating a range of clothing and accessories that meet the guiding principles of aesthetics, style and elegance for any occasion. Their philosopy describes how they look to “broadcasts the discriminate qualities and attributes of: individuality, aesthetic appreciation, discerning taste, quiet confidence and a cavalier attitude to the pursuit of fun and the best life has to offer.”
Started in 2013, this modern yet classic collection realises all your accessory needs, from comfy loafers to formal shoes and versatile belts. Our favourite include these sophisticated navy blue Bedingfeld shoes and this handsome military green Narford belt. There is a small selection of women’s attire too with stylish boots and colourful shoes and belts. However, excitingly this is only the beginning and Fairfax & Favor are looking to extend their collection with coats and jackets, travelling and technology products in the coming months.
