Exciting news yesterday out of the Mercedes camp as their new SL400 is unveiled. The impressive development sees the SL350 upgraded with a new 3.0 litre V6 engine producing a roaring 333bhp and 354lb ft of torque (27bhp and 81lb ft more than the SL350). This means 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 155mph.
Seen here in sleek and timeless black, the SL400 is sporty yet highly luxurious, its lines smooth and streamlined. Other internal characteristics include the direct injection utilising spray-guided combustion, Piezo injectors and multi-spark ignition. Elsewhere, features include everything we have come to expect from a top grade Mercedes including a Magic Vision Control wash-wipe system and an exhilerating new ‘Frontline’ audio system ensuring you can drive down the country lanes, music full blast with a quality that is highly impressive by industry standards.
There is no confirmation of UK prices as of yet, but it will go on sale in Germany for around £80,500.
