Mazda and Mogees create world’s first musical car
, Not content with simply churning out generic hatchbacks, Mazda are at the cutting edge of design, regularly producing some of the best looking cars on the market. They have taken their forward-thinking ethos a step further now though, turning their new Mazda3 into a musical instrument.
Mazda have teamed up with Mogees, an exhilarating technology firm who have the ability to turn inanimate objects into powerful music machines. This is a first for the automotive world and marks out the new Mazda3 as a machine you won’t forget any time soon.
A remarkably simple, yet no less innovative piece of kit, Mogees is made up of just an app and a sensor. It detects vibrations in movement and can manipulate their acoustic properties to produce a musical note, giving those with little musical talent the ability to create symphonies through every day objects.
To celebrate this fitting collaboration, Mazda and Mogees created a film, highlighting the extraordinary sounds that can be created. Whilst it’s not yet available to the general public, Mogees is set to be hugely popular, and the film hints at what is achievable with this powerful piece of equipment.
