Maison Assouline celebrate Carlos Mota’s ‘A Touch of Style’

Maison Assouline is one of the most luxurious cultural hubs around. Although having only been on London’s famous Piccadilly since autumn 2014, the store is somewhat of a landmark contributing to the ‘unique, eclectic, chic and elegant brand that is immediately identifiable’. Assouline itself is most noted for their books though. Renowned for commissioning some of the most iconic design-led books on subjects such as fashion, art, architecture, design, travel and photography, their style is unmistakable.

Last night Maison Assouline hosted a party to celebrate Carlos Mota’s new book, ‘A Touch of Style’. A number of high-profile guests were present including fashion designers Eugenie Niarchos, Simon Mills, Roland Mouret, Arnaud Bamberger, Mimma Viglezio, Allegra & Ashley Hicks, Mariano Vivanco, Lara Bohinc, Daniella Helayel, Alice BB, Giancarlo Giammetti, Vassi Chamberlain, Fran Hickman, Nick Hornby, Mark Francis Vandelli, Amanda Brooks, Saloni Lodha, Brooke Metcalfe, Daniela Agnelli, Gianluca Longo, Susan Bender, Cosima von Bulow, Debbie Bismarck, Hardeep and Mandeep Chohan, John Pawson, Jason Basmajian, Pedro Girao and Joachim Wrang-Widén.

Carlos Mota is the mastermind behind the amazing photographs seen in top design publications, including Architectural Digest, Departures and Vanity Fair. Known for adding colour and sophistication to the set, often by way of his elegant flower arrangements, Mota’s styling influences the way we see the world’s most extraordinary interiors. Beautifully illustrated, ‘A Touch of Style’ presents a curated journey through some of these incredible spaces. The event was the perfect way to launch the fitting book, kicking off what will likely be a busy few months for the Mayfair store. His new book is available for purchase here.
