We Love: Fairfax & Favor Chelsea boots
Words: Charlie Thomas
We’ve long been a fan of the Chelsea boot. Sleek and sophisticated in equal measure, they transcend dress codes with ease, looking just as great at work as they do in the bar. Their famed heritage and association with the rock ’n roll and mod scenes of the ‘60s gives them a rebellious edge, too, especially when finished in black.
Whilst the basic design of the Chelsea is a simple one, many a brand have got it wrong over the years, making the overall silhouette either too chunky or too slick. Having just unveiled their new design though, English shoemakers Fairfax & Favor have absolutely nailed it.

Available in either black, brown or navy suede, the Fairfax & Favor Chelsea is all the boot you need. Boasting a contrasting navy elastic side panel, twin pull on straps and a hand stitched leather sole, it is a quality product in every sense of the word.

Furthering their reputation as arguably England’s finest new shoe brand, many aspects of the shoe have been handcrafted, attesting to the quality and dedication they apply to their craft.

Constructing just a single pair of these boots is a laborious process, given that they don’t cut any corners. The suede used in the uppers of the boot is hand-cut from a single piece, before being sewn onto the elasticated side panel. The leather lining is then secured before the leather soles are applied using time-tested, traditional techniques, naturally. To see how Fairfax & Favor create each shoe, watch the video below.
