It isn’t often that a new hotel comes along and causes quite such a stir as The Beaumont has done in recent months, but then this isn’t just any old 5 star Mayfair hotel. The brain child of the dynamic duo Corbin & King The Beaumont (housed in a 1920s pre-war building overlooking the leafy Brown Hart Gardens) is making waves in the hospitality industry as they plan a welcome return to the ‘Golden Age’ of hospitality from the era in which the hotel’s original building was constructed.
The team behind the hotel have taken personal to the maximum, in a truly classic tradition of hospitality, there is a significant focus on comfort and service. With just 50 rooms, 13 studios and 10 suites in total, the grandeur of The Beaumont is perfectly contrasted by the intimacy that a stay here will evoke. With a wealth of amenities at the guests disposal, one can look forward to The Cub Room, a bar and lounge, a Spa with Hamam, and a Gymnasium, all of which are solely for the use of residents. Exceptional dining comes from The Colony Grill Room and anyone can unwind in the American Bar for a late night drink, both open to everyone seven days a week, as is The Lotos Room, their luxurious and intimate private dining room.
With an emphasis on classic values and echoing an intimate feel, The Beaumont comes with a healthy dose of artistic abundance. Much of the buzz surrounding it has stemmed from Turner Prize-winning artist Antony Gormley’s piece that adorns the facade of the upper south wing. Commissioned especially for the project, ROOM forms part of one of the hotels’ suites and takes the form of a large modular work made of stainless steel and fumed oak. Further artistic touches come from the interiors throughout, which include subtle Art Deco touches, original artefacts and antique pieces of furniture which have been carefully sourced from around the world. Not only that, but unique and original works of fine art feature on the walls throughout.
Ideally located just off Bond Street, The Beaumont offers guests the opportunity to stay within a stones throw of the high end shopping, exceptional dining, galleries and tourist attractions that Central London has to offer. That said, with service and in-house amenities as good as this, why would anyone want to leave?
The Beaumont is now open and taking bookings. For more information visit: thebeaumont.com
