The end of summer and the beginning of winter can signify dark and cold days ahead and we’re all guilty of heading straight home from the office without much energy to see what the city has to offer during the week. We’re here to change your mind, though, and to introduce you to five things that you absolutely must do in London this week. What: Winston Churchill in Photographs

Why: This year is the 50th anniversary of the death of Winston Churchill and to mark the event, the National Portrait Gallery have put together a collection of some of the best photographs ever taken of Winston Churchill – both seen and unseen. Whether you pop in on your lunch break or spend longer lingering over the shots over the weekend, it’s definitely worth heading here and marvelling at some of the best photographs of one of our country’s finest Prime Ministers.
