Chris Malinchak is a 36-year-old New Yorker taking the UK radio waves by storm. His energetic, optimistic soulful sound is the new face of house ballads.
He’s been recognised by moguls of the music business such as Pete Tong, house label French Express and the Ministry of Sound, the latter revealed an official video for Chris’ song ‘So Good To Me’ in March this year, following his fan base rocketing after he became BBC Radio 1’s ‘Essential New Tune’.
He is an example of the power YouTube can give to a relatively unknown artist; this track reached 1 million plays. Chris’ natural composition has been likened to the sounds of an entire band, this is a ‘Nu’ face to the London scene, and as one of the leaders of Funk and House in New York City, we expect big things. ‘So many more upbeat tunes to come’, from the man himself!
